Soil Apostle Training Program

Soil Apostle OJTP (On-the-Job Training Program)

What it is: A 6–9 month, mentorship-based certification journey blending spiritual grounding, practical field skill, and Soil Food Web science—so trainees can confidently restore soil health in real-world conditions.

Outcome: Graduates complete a final exam + live practicum and are certified and commissioned as a Soil Apostle.

How the Program Works

  • Mentorship first: Weekly check-ins + guided progress through cumulative modules
  • Hands-on training: Brewing, spraying, microscopy, site assessment, client engagement
  • Log + demonstrate: Hours, assignments, and a community demonstration are required
  • Finish strong: Written exam + live practicum + commissioning ceremony

SA-Trainee: Soil Stewardship Foundations
  • Biblical foundation for land stewardship + core Soil Food Web concepts
  • Hands-on: site assessment, worm bin maintenance, composting observation log
Module 2
SA-Vermiculture: Worm Farmer Apprentice
  • Bins vs CFT, recipes, premium casting production
  • Hands-on: maintaining colonies, feeding schedules, casting sorting
Module 3
SA-Brewer: Worm Tea Brewing Technician
  • Recipes, tools, safety, and water measurements (TDS, pH, EC)
  • Hands-on: brew 3 batches targeting different microbial outcomes + ratios/aeration quiz
Module 4
SA-Inoculator: Field Application Specialist
  • Drench vs foliar, sprayer calibration, timing by season/phenology
  • Hands-on: calibrate sprayer, apply to 3 crop types, pre/post logging
Module 5
SA-LabTech: Microscopy & Soil Analysis
  • Microscope setup + microbial ID + compost tea/soil evaluation
  • Hands-on: analyze 5 tea samples, soil scoring, microbe ID test/practicum
Module 6
SA-Customer Care: Consultation & Engagement
  • Ethical/scriptural client engagement + reports + education tools
  • Hands-on: role-play consult, create 1-page education sheet, consultation outline

Optional Modules

  • SA-Analyst: Baselines, follow-ups, tracking logs, simple charting/reporting
  • SA-Mechanic: Diagnostics, cleaning, repairs, and DIY builds (worm bin/sprayer systems)

Final Commissioning

Final Assessment

  • Written exam (60 questions)
  • Live practicum (brewing, microscope use, consultation)

Anointing Ceremony

  • Foot-washing and prayer
  • Certification presented
  • Vial of anointed worm tea concentrate received
